When you make a new itunes library are you able to sync it on to another ipod?

I have a new i pod but dont know how to sync it to my i tunes libra
I did as the video explained. I selected delete on the 8311 files that were highlighted. However, when I go into the iTunes folder I don't find a new directory with the ones I deleted. Those are the ones I wanted moved to a new iTunes library. Where do I find them?
The pop-up said "Are you sure you want to delete the selected songs from your iTunes Library? These songs will also be deleted from any iPod, iPhone, or iPad that synchronizes with you iTunes library." There were two options "Cancel" and "Delete Songs." I selected "Delete Songs" so where do I find those for the new library?
